December: Gracie is the #1 English Setter puppy bitch in Canada for 2018!!! (Canuck Dogs statistics)

October: Gracie went to the American National and placed in the ribbons under

Judges Paula Nykiel, Colleen McGee and Lisa Warren. Excellent outing for a 1 year old!

Gracie, Grayson, Cooper and Winston celebrate their first birthday October 9th!

September: Gracie went to the Burlington Kennel Club and won another point on her CH going BW and BOS under Judge Nancy Tibben, followed by Puppy Group under Judge Carol Graham.

At the Oakville show Gracie was Best Puppy and Puppy Group 2 and Puppy Group 3 under Colm and Rita Beattie from Ireland.

August: Gracie went to SD&G specialties in Long Sault, Ontario with Nanny Linda. She won BEST PUPPY IN SPECIALTY - ESCC Regional under Judge Rui Olivera (Portugal); Best English Setter Puppy In Specialty - OVASA under Judge Sandra Mashford (Australia). Then on to Best English Setter Puppy in Specialty and Reserve Winners Bitch at Ontario Pointing Dog Specialty under Heather Brennan, and 2nd over all puppy in all the pointing breeds. Shown by awesome Nanny Linda!

Kilbride Kennel Club - Grace earned 3 more points on her Championship and was Best in Breed under Franklin VanDerSpuy (South Africa) and Best in Breed and Puppy Group under Veronica Mercer. Shown by Monica Park.

July: Gracie went to the Brandywine Specialties in the USA and won Best of Opposite in Sweeps under Judge BJ Kasiski. Then 1st 9-12 puppy sweeps under Judge Christine Pinkston.

Gracie went to the London Dog Show and came back with a PUPPY GROUP,

and Best In Breed for another point on her championship.

June: Gracie has started her show career off with a bang! Best Puppy In Specialty at the English Setter Club of Canada Regional - June 3, under UK Gundog Specialist, Frank Kane. Followed by BOS at the Erie Shores Kennel Club for her first CKC point, under judge Carmen Haller.

March: Sad news: Sally Vertulia, the founder of WraggeRun passed away in her

95th year. May 29, 1923 - March 7, 2018. The English Setter Club of Canada will

hold the 2018 National Specialty in her memory, and a new award for “Top English Setter” has been created in her honour.


Puppy Announcement - Litter whelped October 9th, Thanksgiving Day.

3 boys and 1 girl. Ozzy x Melody. We are keeping the girl.


August: Ozzy was out and about at a few of the summer shows with Nanny Linda and the lovely Monica Park.

March: Sad news: The one and only Oliver (MBIS, MBISS A/C CH Five Oakes V for Victory was called to the bridge, a few days after his 13th birthday. Our hearts are broken. Oliver remains the #4 English Setter (All breed points) in Canadian history since 1988. (Barry Truax - HIstoric Dog Database).


October: Pineridge Kennel Club - BB under Harald Pybus and Len Harfield,

G3 under Ole Nielson.

September: After taking the summer off Ozzy returned to the ring with Grandma Linda to take BB under Wendy Schira and Brian Taylor at the Burlington Kennel Club.

June: Erie Shores - BB under Ann Hearn from Georgia, with a nice entry of 32 English Setters! SELECT under Johann Bercerra Hernandez and Betty Ann Stenmark.

Ontario Pointing Dog Specialty - SELECT under Paul Robinson from New Zealand. Shown beautifully by Nanny Linda.

May: Ozzy spent the merry month of May in Nova Scotia with Allison Foley!

December: Ozzy debuts with Allison Foley for 3 year end shows and places in the TOP TEN English Setters in Canada!

Credit Valley - BB all 3 days and G4 under Terry Carter and G2 under Jack Ireland.

Brantford - BB all 3 days with competition!

Caledon - BB both days and made the cuts in group!

September: Oakville - G3 under Pierette MacLean

August: Markham KC - 2 Group 3’s under Walter Pinsker and Phyllis Pancel.

Kilbride KC - BB all 3 days!

July:  Maple Leaf KC - UKC Shows - Ozzy earned his UKC CH in 1 weekend taking four G1’s, Reserve BIS under David Kittredge, and 2 BEST IN SHOW under Tony Raposo and Carrianna Glenn (shown by Linda MacKenzie).

ESAA Regional Specialty - Ozzy moved up to Specials and took the first AOM under Judge Catherine Cowsert! Handled by Darcy Valente for the first time in the ring together!

Michigan Sporting Dog Association - Ozzy went to the Monroe specialties and took Winners Dog for a 4 point major to finish his AKC CH! Handled by Lindsey Cook under judge Bob Ennis!

London KC -  BB both days and Group 2 under Filberto Arniella!

June: Ozzy went to the Erie Shores shows, and took 3 Selects in a very large entry of specials, and Best In Breed under Norm Patton.

April: Ozzy went to the Aurora KC show and won the breed both days, and took G4 under Fred Gordon. Handled by his Nanny - Linda MacKenzie.

February: Ozzy went to the Winter Garden Specialties in Rye Brook, NY with new handler Lindsey Cook. He pulled a hat trick and won the big open dog class all 3 days at the English Setter Club of New England, Hudson English Setter Club and English Setter Association of America. He went on to take Reserve Winners Dog at New England under Sharon Lyon and at ESAA under breeder judge Joan Savage.

August: Ozzy went to Kilbride Kennel Club and wins the breed every day!

July: BEST IN SPECIALTY!!! Ozzy wins his first BISS at the South Western Sporting Dog Club under judge Cornelia Howard. Shown by his grandma Linda MacKenzie for the first time in 2 years!!!

Ozzy went to London and won the breed every day!

June: Ozzy goes to Erie shores and takes a G3 on Thursday under Gael Morrison from South Africa, wins the breed on Saturday and goes Select dog on Friday and Sunday to finish his Grand Championship with points to spare!!! Introducing BPISS GCH WRAGGERUN N’ DAKOTAH’S OZZY RULES!

May: Ozzy goes to Arnprior and wins the breed everyday and takes a G2 under Sue Badick.

April: Victoria County - Ozzy takes G2 under judge Joan Beech!

February: Ozzy went to his first Canadian show as a Special in Woodstock - and took a G4!!

Willow went to Chicago and took 4 and 5 point majors to finish!! New AKC Champion Dakotah’s Wynd In The Willows!


October: The September issue of Canine Review Magazine came out with an all setter review. The statistics on the top 5 in each breed, for the last 25 years were published. Oliver is #4 English Setter!!

Melody’s hip xrays came back OFA EXCELLENT! Elbows: Normal. Planned breeding to Oliver in 2014. Double Jodi puppies on both sides!

April: Ozzy went to Guelph and won the breed every day!

March: NEW CANADIAN CHAMPION! BPISS CH WRAGGERUN N’ DAKOTAH’S OZZY RULES! Ozzy took WD, BW and BOS over specials at the Purina National, to finish!

February: Ozzy wins in the Windy City! Blackhawk Kennel Club in Chicago for his first  major under Linda More. Day two and a second major under Dick Beauchamp! Day three - another major under Cindy Vogels. Ozzy Rules!!!

Willow wins her class at the Hudson English Setter Club, at the Combined Specialties in NJ. Only her 2nd show and she is getting noticed!

January: Ozzy starts his USA career with a BANG! WD, BW and BOS at the Rubber City Kennel Club show. Followed by WD at the Livonia Kennel Club!


October: Oliver’s daughter Willow picked up her first 2 points at the Warrenton Kennel Club show from the 9-12 month puppy class, going winners over mature bitches, and won Best In Sweeps!!

September: More sad news - Oliver’s mom Peri (Five Oakes Neverdone Periwinkle) joined Jodi at the bridge. Condolences to Barb and Chan Oakes.

August: Ozzy wins Best Puppy in Specialty at 8 months old! English Setter Club of Canada Regional!

July: Melody finishes her Canadian Championship in 3 weekends!!

March: Oliver’s son, 3 month old Ozzy arrives to take over our lives.

March: Sad news: My darling Arthur - CH WraggeRun’s As Good As It Gets was called to the bridge 3 months shy of his 13th birthday.

February: Sad news - Oliver’s dad Jodi (MBIS/MBISS A/C CH Brooklin Driftwind Dreamquest) was called to the bridge. Jodi remains the top owner/handled English Setter in the last 25 years.


November: 3 month old Melody flies in from Boise, Idaho to join the clan.

October: Oliver was bred to the lovely CH. Wyndswept’s Reflection of Skye. Christmas puppies were born on December 26th.


November: Introducing New CH Wyndswept Victory of Wraggerun “Olivia”, at the

Caledon Kennel Club.

October: Oliver wins Reserve Best English Setter in Canada award from the ESAA.

Olivia takes WB, BW and BOS at the Trillium show.

August: Oliver wins Best in Breed Award for 2008 - English Setter Club of Canada - for the fourth year in a row! From Age 2 to age 6, setting a club record!


December: Oliver finishes the year as #8 English Setter in the USA in only 10 shows. In Canada, Oliver is #5 English Setter in only 3 shows.

November: Oliver takes Group 2 at the Purina National with Jr. Handler Ashley Martins, under Judge Paula Nykiel.

October: Oliver wins Best Canadian English Setter Award - English Setter Association of America!! (for the 2nd year in a row)

June: Oliver wins English Setter Club of Canada National Specialty under Breeder/Judge Joan Savage

June: Oliver wins English Setter Of The Year, for the 3rd year in a row at the ESCC Banquet.

May: Oliver teams up with Adam Bernardin for a few American shows in the competitive North East circuit! Result - Oliver rockets to Top 10 ES in the US in 3 weekends taking multiple BOB and Group Placements!
